I just returned from a workshop in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. (Details on my blog with BTS pictures — I was not the instructor, but a student). We used “Focus Stacking”, which is a technique to increase the depth of field. This allowed us to focus on the object directly in front of our eyes, the middle ground, and even the mountains far away. This is a lot sharper than what you would get by shooting at f/11. It’s an increased depth of field using multiple photos.
Today I will show you how to convert your focus-stacked photos from Lightroom into Photoshop . I have also done a tutorial showing you how to combine them (only the sharp parts) and make a single image automatically.
